Jerusalem Wall
The ancient cities of the middle east were fortified with stone walls surrounding them, providing security and peace to the residents. We have provided a similar sound and visual barrier to the distractions of modern life with a wall that replicates the old city walls of Jerusalem. The wall in all three phases will extend from the present main office building to the set building, a distance of 300 feet, and reaching a height of 30 feet. It is finished with stylized blocks, arched gates and battlement to look like an authentic city wall. Phase one is now complete and houses the Interpretive Centre, Concessions, First Aid facilities, a small stage, and washroom facilities. Eventually the top floor will feature a 200 foot interior mural of the life of Christ. Phase One forms the gateway from the parking lot area into the performance area, separating the modern world from the Ancient Holy Land of the play. This project is both an asset to the public that comes to the play as well as to the atmosphere of the performance. Perhaps most importantly, it provides accommodations to the actors and other volunteers that will enhance their work and effectiveness. The project can only progress to phases two and three through generous donations of money and labour from our supporters.
