Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast

Drumheller, Alberta. Wonderful music was the order of the day at Drumheller’s first Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on October 7, 2009. “The music was terrific,” says John Bruins, account manager with Q91 Radio. “To me, it was comparable to the recent Premier’s Prayer Breakfast I attended in Edmonton.”

Musicians who performed at the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast included Bill Hamm and Rosa Cantorum from Rosebud, Donnerene Steward and Janell Caravan, and Dr. Kelly Pasma and Michelle Pieke from Drumheller. The audience of 80 guests not only enjoyed the music, but also some of the anecdotes by the program host, CTV News anchor Darrel Janz, as well as Guest Speaker Rev. Lloyd Huber.

“It was a great way to spend time with colleagues and reflect on the many blessings we enjoy,” says Wilfred Golbeck, President of the Canadian Badlands Passion Play Society which organized the breakfast. “We really appreciate Mayor Bryce Nimmo for lending his support to this event.”
